MSc Monika Tomaszewska

Since January 2016 MSc Monika Tomaszewska is carrying out four-year doctoral (PhD) studies conducted at Geospatial Sciences Center of Excellence, South Dakota State University, USA.

MSC Monika Tomaszewska - graduated from the Department of Geoinformatics and Remote Sensing, Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, University of Warsaw in 2010. She also completed post-graduation study at the Warsaw University of Technology, subject: “Geographic Information Systems”. She has been working as a researcher in the Department of Remote Sensing since February 2011. Her main research interest is focused on applicability of GIS and Remote Sensing techniques in the Environmental Studies. She is also actively involved in field data collection.

From 22.06 to 22.12.2013 – MSc Monika Tomaszewska was carrying out internship in the framework of the NASA funded project entitled: „Storms, Forms, and Complexity of the Urban Canopy: How Land Use, Settlement Patterns, and the Shapes of Cities Influence Severe Weather" at Geospatial Sciences Center of Excellence (GSCE), South Dakota State University, USA

MSc Monika Tomaszewska has been awarded an SPIE Optics and Photonics Education Scholarship by SPIE—The International Society for Optical Engineering
