BalticSatApps (Speeding up Copernicus Innovation for the BSR Environment and Security). BalticSatApps jest międzynarodowym projektem INTERREG, wspierającym rozwój i wykorzystanie technologii obrazowania satelitarnego w krajach bałtyckich. Projekt finansowany jest przez Europejski Fundusz Rozwoju Regionalnego, w ramach Programu Interreg  Region Morza Bałtyckiego. W projekcie uczestniczy 9 partnerów z Europy, liderem jest Uniwersytet Turku (FI). Celem projektu jest przyspieszenie wprowadzania na rynek usług opartych o dostęp i przetwarzanie danych satelitarnych w rejonie Morza Bałtyckiego. Wprowadzone rozwiązania pozwolą odpowiedzieć na potrzeby i wyzwania społeczne Regionu. Rezultatem projektu będzie udoskonalenie wiedzy oraz dostępu do danych, dostarczonych przez program Copernicus, a także zwiększenie świadomości, popytu i innowacyjności w obszarze danych satelitarnych.

Projekty zakończone

HORIZON 2020: Projekt GALENA (No 641515 ; 2015-2017) -  Galileo-based solutions for urban freight transport. GALENA develops the hardware equipment as well as the information system and the supervision platform needed for the cross supply chain orchestration of a community of shippers involved in urban freight pooling particularly for the last-mile delivery (dr hab. Marek Baranowski).


FP7: ENERGIC OD (No 620400; 2014-2017) - European NEtwork for Redistributing Geospatial Information to user Communities - Open Data. The project addresses lack of agreement on interoperability standards creating a barrier to benefiting from the exploitation potential of (open) geographic information (GI) created by heterogeneous and ubiquitous GI in widely varying communities and sectors of society. ENERGIC OD Virtual Hubs (VHs) will adopt a broker architectural approach, designed and developed in recent EU research activities, wherein specific components (the brokers) perform all interoperability actions required to interconnect heterogeneous systems. ENERGIC OD involves 15 partners from five EU member states – Italy, France, Germany, Poland and Spain - and is co-ordinated by Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche – Istituto sull’Inquinamento Atmosferico (CNR-IIA) in Italy. FP7: GIONET (No 264509; 2011-2014) - GMES Initial Operations – Network for Earth Observation Research training. Participation in creating European Centre of Excellence for training early stage researchers in Earth Observation. GIONET will provide skilled personnel for the GMES land monitoring and emergency information services. (Prof. K. Dabrowska-Zielinska, Dr. Z. Bochenek)

SATURN (No 632671; 2014-2015)  - SATellite applications for URbaN mobility. SATURN project aims at setting up 5 large-scale demonstrators capitalizing on Copernicus programme and EGNSS technologies to propose innovative solutions to the European societal challenge „Better mobility, less congestion, more safety and security”. FP7: THE ISSUE (No 287088; 2011-2014) - Traffic - Health - Environment. Intelligent Solutions for Sustaining Urban Economies. The key focus of the project is on the areas of Traffic, Health and the Environment to achieve Intelligent Solutions for Sustaining Urban Economies by fostering transnational co-operation and collaboration between innovative research-driven clusters. The Project is being taken forward by a Consortium of 13 partners in four European regional research-driven clusters: East Midlands Region (UK), Midi Pyrenees and Aquitaine Regions (FR), Mazovia Region (PL) and Molise Region (IT). Each regional cluster comprises of a triple helix of universities/research institutions, business, and regional/local government. (dr hab. Marek Baranowski)

FP7: DORIS_Net  (No 262789; 2011-2013) -  Downstream Observatory organised by Regions active In Space - Network organised by Regions who are all members of NEREUS (Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies) and potentially users of GMES downstream services. The Downstream Observatory will facilitate links between both regional and European level GMES stakeholders. (dr hab. Marek Baranowski)

FP7: MS.MONINA (No 263479; 2010-2013) - Multi-Scale Service for Monitoring NATURA 2000 Habitats of European Community Interest. Elaboration of the service based on Earth Observation data for monitoring NATURA 2000 habitats. (Dr. Z. Bochenek)

FP7: Geoland2 (ITD.2007-0522-0-1; 2008-2012) - Towards operational GMES Land Monitoring Core System. Preparation of the methods for land cover and land cover change mapping based on very high-resolution and medium-resolution satellite data. (Prof. K. Dabrowska-Zielinska)

FP7: CEUBIOM (No 213634; 2008-2010) - Classification of European Biomass Potential for Bioenergy Using Terrestrial and Earth Observation. Study on applicability of different Earth Observation data for assessment of biomass used for bioenergy purposes. (Prof. K. Dabrowska-Zielinska)

FP6: INTAS (ref 06 10000025 9182) - Remote Sensing Methods for Environmental Assessment of Eurasian Peatlands and Associated Ecosystems under Climate Change (Pacine) (Prof. K. Dabrowska-Zielinska)

FP6: Geoland (ITD.2003-0350-0-1; 2004-2006) - GMES products and services integrating EO monitoring capacities to support the implementation of European directives and policies to land cover and vegetation. Development of remote sensing method for crop yield monitoring based on medium-resolution satellite data. (Prof. K. Dabrowska-Zielinska)



FP5: REGEO (IST-2001-32336; 2002-2004) Multimedia Geoinformation for e-Communities in Rural Areas with Eco-Tourism. Preparation of multimedia geoinformation system based on multisource data applied for eco-tourist purposes. (Dr. E. Wisniewska)
