As part of our analysis of wetlands and meadows, we perform remote sensing measurements of chlorophyll fluorescence in the Biebrza Valley and Biebrza peat bogs, monitoring the condition and health of vegetation in this ecosystem. We also measure the carbon balance in marsh areas using data from Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 satellites, assessing greenhouse gas emissions and the condition of groundwater and surface water. We measure soil moisture, meadow productivity, and cereal yields, supporting natural resource management and agriculture. We also study changes in soil moisture in peatlands in Western Polesie, using radar and optical data. We assess the condition of peatland ecosystems in the context of climate change. Monitoring NATURA 2000 protected areas using remote sensing methods allows us to accurately track changes in this environmentally valuable region.
