Living Lab workshop as part of the IMAGE-UP project

Yesterday (January 14, 2026), our Institute hosted a Living Lab workshop as part of the IMAGE-UP project, which we are implementing together with the Swiss company Gamma Earth: “IMAGE-UP LivingLab: Super-Resolution – possibilities for increasing the resolution of Sentinel-2 satellites for sustainable development and innovation in selected areas.”

Representatives from the agricultural sector, municipal public administration and critical infrastructure management companies attended the workshop, both on-site and via the Microsoft Teams platform. The workshop aimed to:

📃 to present the operation of Sentinel-2 satellite imagery technology with increased spatial resolution, known as Super-Resolution, from 10×10 m to 1×1 m pixels,

📃 to introduce participants to the possibilities of using Super-Resolution images in their industries,

📃 jointly develop further scenarios in which the use of Super-Resolution images may be crucial,

📃 identify participants’ needs in the field of satellite remote sensing,

📃 establish cooperation and contacts between workshop participants during coffee breaks and lunch. 😊

Join us for the next part of the workshop, which will take place on 11 February!

The project is co-financed by the National Centre for Research and Development under the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme (agreement no. SPPW/IMAGEUP/0015/2024-00).
