IGiK Joins the Digital Agriculture Initiative

The signing of the Letter of Intent on 30 June 2026 at the Partner’s headquarters marks the formal launch of a partnership bringing together the scientific, technological, business, and agricultural advisory communities. The objective of the Digital Agriculture initiative is to build a strong, integrated innovation ecosystem that will enable the effective implementation of modern technologies in agricultural practice, delivering tangible benefits to Polish farmers and the entire agri-food sector.

The initiative brings together the following partners:

  • Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PCSS)
  • Agricultural Advisory Centre
  • Poznań University of Life Sciences
  • Poznań University of Technology
  • Institute of Plant Protection – National Research Institute
  • Plant Breeding and Acclimatization Institute – National Research Institute
  • Institute of Natural Fibres and Medicinal Plants – National Research Institute, Poznań
  • The National Institute of Horticultural Research
  • Institute of Geodesy and Cartography

The partners are embarking on intensive work aimed at developing solutions based on artificial intelligence (AI), advanced decision-support systems, data sharing and integration platforms, and technologies that support sustainable and competitive agricultural production.

As highlighted during the event, this initiative represents an important step towards building an integrated digital agriculture support ecosystem, in which scientific institutions, technologies, and data work together to create innovative solutions for the future of agriculture.
