Competition for the position of Institute Professor at the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography

Acting pursuant to art. 43 section 7 of the Act of April 30, 2010 on research institutes (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1095, as amended) and § 11 item 2 of the Statute of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography, the Director of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography announces a competition for the position of Assistant Professor at the Remote Sensing Center of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography in Warsaw.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a habilitation degree (doktor habilitowany) in Earth sciences in the field of geography.
  • Possession of a Ph.D. degree (doktor nauk) in Earth sciences in the field of geography.
  • Possession of a Master’s degree in the field of exact and natural sciences or engineering and technical sciences, specializing in cartography.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience.
  • Knowledge of cartography and visualization, familiarity with the GIS system.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics.
  • Documented participation in a minimum of two foreign research internships.
  • Participation in a minimum of two scientific projects.
  • Authorship/co-authorship of a minimum of 20 scientific publications.
  • Participation in a minimum of five programming projects for scientific purposes.
  • Motivation for quick learning and expanding competencies.
  • Communicativeness, personal culture, ability to work in a team.

Information Clause (Data Protection)

Pursuant to art. 13 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC – hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”, we inform that:

  • The Administrator of personal data is the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography, with its registered office at ul. Zygmunta Modzelewskiego 27, 02-679 Warsaw.
  • The Administrator can be contacted: by mail to the above-mentioned correspondence address, by phone: +48 22 329 19 00, or by e-mail: igik@igik.edu.pl.
  • The Administrator has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) – Mr. Paweł Maliszewski, who can be contacted in all matters regarding the processing of personal data via e-mail: iod@perfectinfo.pl.
  • Personal data will be processed for the purpose of recruitment for the indicated position as part of activities aimed at concluding a contract (Art. 6 section 1 lit. b of the GDPR) and fulfilling the obligations incumbent on the Administrator resulting from legal provisions (Art. 6 section 1 lit. c of the GDPR), i.e., the Act of June 26, 1974 – Labor Code and the Act of April 30, 2010 on research institutions, as well as based on the expressed consent (Art. 6 section 1 lit. a of the GDPR).
  • Personal data may be stored for a period of 3 years after the recruitment process is completed. If you consent, the data will be processed for the purpose of future recruitment, including for other positions.
  • Recipients of personal data may be entities providing IT, legal, and advisory services to the Administrator based on relevant agreements, and entities authorized to receive them based on applicable law.
  • On the terms set out in the GDPR, job applicants have the right to: access the content of their data, demand their rectification, erasure, or restriction of their processing; withdraw consent to data processing at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal; lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw), if it is considered that the processing of personal data violates the provisions of the GDPR.
  • Providing personal data is voluntary but necessary for the proper implementation of all activities related to the recruitment process and potential conclusion of an employment contract.
  • Personal data will not be subjected to automated decision-making, including profiling.
  • Personal data will not be transferred outside the European Union or to international organizations.

Consent Declaration:

If you consent to the processing of personal data after the recruitment process is completed for the purpose of future recruitment, please include a declaration of consent of the following content in your application documents:
