Dr. Eng. Sebastian Banaszek from the Centre of Applied Geomatics at the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography in Warsaw delivered a presentation entitled “The Decision Environment of the State Border Protection System Under Conditions of Migration Pressure and Disinformation” during the Scientific Conference “Migration Pressure and Disinformation as Contemporary Challenges for the State Border Protection System”, organized at the War Studies University in Warsaw.
The presentation addressed contemporary challenges related to the functioning of border protection systems under conditions of increasing information pressure, data overload, and disinformation activities. The presentation introduced a decision-environment model, the concept of five systemic gaps, and the role of the digital twin as a tool supporting analysis and decision-making processes in a multi-source and multi-actor environment.
The presentation also discussed the development directions of integrated analytical environments supporting the creation of decision advantage in security and border protection systems.
