MSc Eng. Julia Baranowska

A graduate of the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography at the Warsaw University of Technology, where she specialized in Geographic Information Systems.

She is the author of an engineering thesis titled “Technical photography in surveying studies” which focuses on testing two measurement techniques using digital photography and their application in architectural inventory and displacement measurements in the area of expansion joints. The aim of her master’s thesis titled “A comparative study of methods for determining the surface urban heat island intensity” was to analyze the surface urban heat island in three Polish cities – Gdansk, Krakow, and Warsaw – using six different methods to determine the intensity of this phenomenon.

She has been affiliated with the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography since July 2025.
