Climate changes

The team conducts research on the impact of climate change on the environment, focusing on drought monitoring, carbon balance, and changes in cloud cover. It models the carbon balance in wetland areas, analyzing climate change in the context of peatlands and their role in carbon dioxide storage. Changes in cloud cover over the last 30 years are also being studied, allowing for an assessment of atmospheric conditions. The team also analyzes the impact of climate change on the growth conditions of meadow and forest vegetation, taking into account changes in air quality and winter conditions. As part of the research, climate change adaptation models are being developed to support adaptation policies and better management of climate crisis risks.
