She graduated from the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies at the University of Warsaw with a specialization in Geoinformatics, cartography and remote sensing. In the frame of her thesis, she worked on the evaluation of radiative transfer models for simulating tree reflectance in Białowieża Forest. Before she also had graduated Astronomy at the University of Wrocław. During her professional career she worked, inter alia, at an astronomical observatory and a research institute specialized in the acquisition and processing of aerial and satellite images.
