New article by the Center for Applied Geomatics team

     Read the latest article by Kinga Kulesza and Agata Hościło from the Centre of Applied Geomatics: "Influence of climatic conditions on Normalized Difference Vegetation Index variability in forest in Poland (2002–2021)", which was published in the journal Meteorological Applications.

     In the article the general greening of forests in Poland in 2002-2021 is documented. It is mostly visible in central-eastern Poland. Precipitation (P) and ewapotranspiration (ETo) affect forest condition the most. The strongest correlations between NDVI and P and ETo reach 0.55 (central Poland). The research was carried out as part of the NCN OPUS 21 project.
