Prize Contest on Copernicus Border Surveillance Service Evolution

On May 27–29, 2025, field tests were conducted in Romania as part of the second stage of the Prize Contest on Copernicus Border Surveillance Service Evolution. A five-person team consisting of employees from IGiK and representatives of a technology partner carried out operations using drones, mobile LiDAR scanners, walking robots, and ground-based GNSS RTK receivers, testing solutions to support reconnaissance and terrain situation analysis. We extend our sincere thanks to the Representatives of the Romanian Border Police and the European Border and Coast Guard Agency for organizing and securing our stay in the mountainous region of Romania, and to our Technology Partners – Creotech and TPI – for their technical support.
