On 21-22 September 2023, a scientific and technical conference was held on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the operation of the Żarnowiec Hydroelectric Power Station, attended by representatives of the Institute: Jan Kryński and Marek Dróżdż.

Since 2000, IGiK has been continuously carrying out geodetic measurements of displacements and deformations of Żarnowiec hydroelectric power station, the largest in Poland
