The conference ‘Science and Innovation for Resilient Forests’

The conference ‘Science and Innovation for Resilient Forests’ was held on 28.05.2025 at the Forest Research Institute in Sękocin Stary, organised by the Ministry of Climate and Environment together with the General Directorate of State Forests and the Forest Research Institute. The conference included a poster session, entitled ‘How to preserve old forests?’, where the 10 best works selected in the poster competition were presented. Among the winners was the poster of the Centre of Applied Geomatics of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography, represented at the conference by Alicja Rynkiewicz. Poster: Rynkiewicz, A., Wójcik, W. The conference addressed issues related to social expectations, especially in the topics of social and urban forests, and the bioeconomy, including nature conservation through innovative bioeconomy. The conference was held in connection with the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
