AGRICULTURAL DROUGHT 2018
Remote Sensing Centre is monitoring crop state and thermal conditions during the growing season using the databese of NOAA/AVHRR satellites images. This year we can observe the growing lack of the sufficient soil moisture from the second-half of the May. We present you the state of agricultural drought in Poland on 20 of August, which covered 60% of all arable lands. Extreme drought was observed at 21% of arable lands. In comparison to the previous ten-day period it is significant improvement ( 70% and 34% )
We've monitored the development of drought from the start of growing season. Every 10 days we've published the actual map with the information about drought at the agricultural regions.
