Competition for the use of satellite data in the activities of SMEs

under the "Framework Partnership Agreement on Copernicus User Uptake

(FPCUP)

We would like to thank you very much, on behalf of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography and Absiskey Poland, for submitting your ideas to the competition aimed at start-ups and SMEs regarding the possibility of implementing services based on satellite data from the Copernicus program.

We are currently analyzing your submissions and will be contacting you shortly to arrange a short interview with the contest participants.

In the first stage, we will select 10 companies that will get the opportunity to consult their idea with experts from the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography. We will then announce the top five of the first edition of the competition and present financial prizes.

We're keeping our fingers firmly crossed for the ideas and we'll hear from you in the coming days.

FPCUP SME Team

The Institute of Geodesy and Cartography, in cooperation with Absiskey Polska, is organizing a competition addressed to start-ups and SMEs regarding the possibility of implementing services based on satellite data from the Copernicus program.

The competition is intended for companies outside the space sector that have the potential and ambition to use satellite data in their operations.

The best proposals in technical and business terms will be qualified for consultation with experts in the field of satellite data. During the consultation, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to learn about the possibilities offered by the use of satellite data and refine their ideas for solutions.

Final ideas and solutions will be presented during the final conference.

The competition was divided into two stages.

In the first stage, 10 ideas will be selected from the submitted applications, which will go to the presentation stage, where 5 teams will receive a prize of PLN 11,600 each.

Stage I will last from February 1, 2023 to February 15, 2023.

In the second stage, 15 ideas will be selected from the submitted applications, which will go to the presentation stage, where 8 teams will receive a prize of PLN 11,600 each.

Stage II will last from March 15, 2023 to April 5, 2023.

Both stages will end with a conference where ideas will be presented and the best use cases will be selected.
