AGRICULTURAL DROUGHT 2018

Remote Sensing Centre is monitoring crop state and thermal conditions during the growing season using the databese of NOAA/AVHRR satellites images. This year we can observe the growing lack of the sufficient soil moisture from the second-half of the May. We present you the state of agricultural drought in Poland on 30 of June, which covered 66.80% of all arable lands. Extreme drought was observed at 23.12% of arable lands.

We've monitored the development of drought from the start of growing season. Every 10 days we've published the actual map with the information about drought at the agricultural regions.
