Adam Ciesielski Phd. is a specialist at the Institute of Geodesy and Geodynamics (IGiK). He holds a degree in physics and astronomy. His areas of expertise include gravimetry, tidal analysis, digital signal processing, physical modeling, and high performance computing (HPC). He uses and develops an innovative method of harmonic analysis of Earth tides (RATA), which he developed while working at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). At IGiK, he actively participates in measurement campaigns or in the processing and analysis of obtained data. He is a longtime tutor and enthusiast of public speaking.

In 2011, he obtained a bachelor's degree, and in 2013, a master's degree in Astronomy as part of Interdepartmental Mathematical and Natural Sciences Studies at the Jagiellonian University (UJ). While his main field of study was Astronomy he also took strong interests in Mathematics and Meteorology. In 2014, he completed a second degree in physics. In 2023, he earned a doctorate magna cum laude from the physics department of the German Technical University KIT (part of the Helmholtz Research Centers), working in the joint project of Institute of Geophysics and Institute of Geodesy KIT.
