dr hab. inż. Walyeldeen Hassan Godah, prof. IGiK

Profesor Instytutu w Centrum Geodezji i Geodynamiki IGiK. Uzyskał licencjat z zakresu geodezji inżynieryjnej na Uniwersytecie w Chartumie na Wydziale Inżynierii w 2004 roku. Stopień magistra Geodezji i Geoinformatyki otrzymał w Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) w Sztokholmie w czerwcu 2009 roku, gdzie po ukończeniu studiów pracował jako asystent na Wydziale Geodezji do grudnia 2009 roku. W marcu 2011 roku rozpoczął studia doktoranckie w Polsce, odbywając staż w Centrum Geodezji i Geodynamiki Instytutu Geodezji i Kartografii. W październiku 2014 roku uzyskał z wyróżnieniem stopień doktora nauk technicznych w dyscyplinie geodezja i kartografia na Wydziale Geodezji i Kartografii Politechniki Warszawskiej na podstawie rozprawy doktorskiej pt. „Ocena udziału globalnych modeli geopotencjału uzyskanych z misji GOCE w tworzeniu lokalnych modeli geoidy”.

W listopadzie 2020 roku uzyskał stopień doktora habilitowanego w dziedzinie Inżynierii Lądowej i Transportu na Wydziale Geoinżynierii Uniwersytetu Warmińsko-Mazurskiego w Olsztynie na podstawie rozprawy „Wpływ danych z grawimetrycznych misji satelitarnych na wyznaczanie wysokości geoidy/quasigeoidy oraz wysokości ortometrycznych/normalnych oraz ich zmian w czasie”. Obecnie kontynuuje działalność naukową w Centrum Geodezji i Geodynamiki Instytutu Geodezji i Kartografii. Jego zainteresowania związane są z grawimetrią satelitarną, modelowaniem pola grawitacyjnego oraz problematyką opracowywania danych GNSS w aspekcie ich wykorzystania do monitorowania procesów geodynamicznych.
